In 2004, Countess Courtney graduated from California Cosmetology College and found herself on the brink of the Medspa evolution where she discovered her passion for aesthetic medicine and age management modalities. After obtaining her esthetic license, she began working with some of Silicon Valley’s most renowned physicians. After obtaining her first laser certification, she initiated numerous aesthetic hybrid ventures throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2013, she applied her beauty, health and wellness industry experience to launch California’s first 600-hour undergraduate Medical Aesthetician program supervised by Dr. Tom and Jerome Liu (formerly of Liu Plastic Surgery) at The Salon Professional Academy in San Jose, California.

Countess relocated to Las Vegas to launch Nevada’s first 900 hour undergraduate Laser Aesthetics program at NIMA Institute. In 2020, during the national pandemic, Countess also facilitated the transition of all curriculum to distance education.

In addition to obtaining multiple laser, IPL, advanced exfoliation, body sculpting, skin rejuvenation and skin tightening certifications she is also trained in homeopathic herbs and alternative Chinese medicine modalities such as cupping, dry needling, reflexology and lymphatic drainage massage.

Over the course of her career, she has managed to accumulate over 2,000 hours of continued education and has taught over 10,000 hours of advanced subjects. Countess is dedicated to creating innovative curriculum to push the industry forward and continues to keep her thumb on the pulse of Aesthetic Medicine. Her greatest passion resides in developing the industry’s next great leaders through empowerment and education.
